As I bitterly cling to both my Xbox and my iPod…

Can this guy do anything right, and how many people does he intend to actually piss off before he gets ejected out of his office at mach speeds? The Jews don’t like him, the Iranians think he is kind of a spineless little bitch, and now he decides that:

“With iPods and iPads and Xboxes and PlayStations, — none of which I know how to work — information becomes a distraction, a diversion, a form of entertainment, rather than a tool of empowerment, rather than the means of emancipation,”

-And this announcement being of course made during one of the most “appropriate” times to say such drivel: during a commencement speech at a college. I seem to recall that there are some fairly pressing issues to address as of late, to include the disaster that the world ignored, but yet this guy wants to deride me for the fact that I get my news and entertainment through an outlet that he doesn’t operate or understand.

What demographic is he going to attempt to piss off next?

Is there any left?

UPDATE: I had no idea that Fark had picked this up. The comments thread on this article over there are truly hilarious and are a must read.

About Old Iron
I'm just a guy that works overseas alot and likes to play just as hard as I work. Been to a FEW countries, know a shitload of people all over, and generally have a good time wherever I go. -Oh, and I am currently in between girlfriends, and strangely enough and perfectly happy with that status. In the long run hookers are cheaper. Take my word on that.

I think his real reason for the dislike of these, is that he CANNOT control them,, a true socialist wants to control the media and what he feels people should and shouldn’t know. And until he can find a way to control them to his liking, they will continue to annoy him. His true colors are becoming more and more evident the longer he is in office.

  3. He’s just a big-fat-liar. He famously waved about his iPod to show off his playlists. He gave the Queen of England an iPod loaded with his speeches (gack). And he defied the Secret Service and the nation’s information security chief – to keep his Crackberry.

It’s good for me but not for thee. That should be his motto instead of that hopenchange palaver.
